The Castle

Many choose to reside in the Castle, a huge structure at the center of the four seasons that offers everything from medical care to restaurants to wellness treatments and cultural events. Everything offered in the Castle is free of charge for any citizen of the Inn-Between, with the sole exception of extra rooms that any resident may purchase for his or her apartment. For more on prices, see Residences.
The castle is entered through the Great Entrance Hall, from where a large double flight of stairs leads up and into the main part of the ground floor.

Like many large stairs in the Inn-between, the right-hand flight of stairs can be converted into a slide by pushing a button integrated into the railing at both ends, making it particularly popular with younger residents.

Rooms to the left and right of the entrance hall are used by residents to store skis, bicycles and other equipment that they wish to use outside but do not want to carry through the building every time they go in or out.

The Inn-Between Times and several larger origin-world newspapers are provided in the entrance hall every day.
The castle has many public facilities and rooms that are free for everyone's use. Common rooms are available in many different styles and focuses, making sure that everyone will find just what they are looking for. Here is an example of a sitting room on the 17th floor in the North-East tower:
