The Drowned Rat is imported from "Memories of the Sea", by Dave Coleman-Reese (MZB: Sword and Sorceress XVII; p. 5-15). It is an inn by the sea, run by Jakor and served by Darmin. The ladies Talgra and Darmin offer a very special service there twice a week in the evenings. She has the gift of hearing and retelling the story of men and women drowned in the seas of many worlds, which become enclosed in pearls. Those washed into the Inn-Between get collected by them, and told in nights of storytelling and remembrance.

The Drowned Rat opens every afternoon at 4 PM and is open until midnight.
