Claude was a trainee mechanic aboard the Crusader 50 shuttle bus for visitors who went to see the planet Midnight.
Claude saw a shadow on a ridge while on a trip. As the shields were being lowered again he thought he saw it running toward the bus. He was later disintegrated by the X-tonic sunlight alongside Joe when the driver's cabin was ripped off. (TV: Midnight)
