Nurse Noreen Blainey was the matron at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the late 19th century.[4]

Biography
Early life
Noreen was born into a Muggle family in the 19th century. In her youth, she attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and was Sorted into Hufflepuff House.[2]
Shortly after her graduation from Hogwarts, Noreen returned to the school and became the new matron of the school's Hospital Wing. Due to her lack of work experience, however, by 1890, Madam Blainey was still learning the ropes while working to bring the hospital up to code.[2]
In the late 1880s, she was asked by Sebastian Sallow and/or Solomon Sallow to find a cure for Anne Sallow's curse; however, she could not find a way to cure it.[4]
In the 1890–1891 school year, she was seen chastising a student who had brought a sheep into the Hospital Wing, claiming it was a transfigured form of his friend George. She believed it was just a normal sheep and asked the student if George had gone through the steps required to become an Animagus. She was then alarmed when the sheep stepped off the bed and began to eat her bubotubers, and asked the student to get it away. George appeared shortly afterwards, confused at the scene, leading Noreen to send them both out.[5]

Personality and traits
Noreen made up for her lack of experience with her fortitude.[2]

Magical abilities and skills
Healing magic: As the Hogwarts matron, Noreen was well-versed in the healing arts.[4]
Transfiguration: Noreen was knowledgeable about the process of becoming an Animagus, as can be seen when she explained it in detail to George's friend who believed George had turned into a sheep.[5]
