Nora Treadwell was a witch who lived in the 19th century. She was an archaeologist and Merlin historian who studied the Trials of Merlin.[1]
Biography
In her youth, she began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry whose interest in Merlin piqued. She met her wife Priya Treadwell at Hogwarts and they eventually married. Priya gave a book about Merlin to her. She had followed Merlin's legacy and had written a number of books about him. The two had taken up residence at the Three Broomsticks Inn for the duration of her current expedition that involved a major discovery, trials Merlin left behind around Hogwarts and while she finished her book about Merlin's schooldays.[1]
During the 1890–1891 school year, she enlisted the aid of the new fifth-year in her studies and helped fight off Ashwinders in their attempts to abduct the student.[3]
Magical abilities and skills
History of Magic: As an archaeologist, Nora had extensive knowledge in the field of history of magic. She displayed a specific interest in anything related to Merlin, including puzzles she called "Merlin Trials", and wrote several books about this legendary figure of the wizarding world.
Duelling: Despite the fact that her occupation was not intrisically connected to duelling, Nora showed decent skills in the field. In 1890, she was able to help the new fifth-year student, using the Stunning Spell, the Levitation Spell and the Knockback Jinx against a group of Ashwinders trying to abduct them.
