One evening, Eloise and other vampires found the Shadowhunter Isabelle Lightwood lurking in one of their territories. Isabelle was quick to explain that she only wanted venom. Outnumbering the Shadowhunter, Eloise planned to feed on her but was stopped and sent away by their clan leader, Raphael Santiago.[1][2]
Eloise was part of the group that accompanied Raphael to the Jade Wolf to confront Simon Lewis, who had threatened Raphael's sister. They Portaled in, and Raphael ordered that Isabelle be restrained; Eloise did and teased Isabelle about giving her a taste of venom again, which Isabelle, still going through withdrawal, wasn't able to contest. Eloise did not bit her, and eventually, the werewolves arrived and let sunlight into the restaurant. As they all jumped away and into the shade, they witnessed Simon Lewis seek refuge in the sunlight. Eloise realized that Simon was a Daylighter, and she, along with the rest of the clan members present, was astonished and reluctant to leave until Simon demanded it.[3]
