Regin a member of the Silver Gryphons of White Gryphon. When Tadrith and Silverblade disappeared in the rainforest on their way to Outpost Five, Regin was put in charge of the search party that included Skandranon and Amberdrake.

Regin made the mistake of thinking that Tad and Blade had gotten into trouble because they were novices in the field. He underestimated the Chaged wyrsa, regarding them as simple predatory beasts. When the pack attacked the search party, he was ripped to pieces inside one of the tents, while trying to defend the unconscious Filix.
