Princess Alara was one of King Chalinel and Consort Felice's youngest children, being a twin to Herald Alain. She and her twin brother finished their studies at the Collegium[1] a year early, a fact that Alain attributed to having watched, listened to, and practiced with their ten elder siblings as they went through the same studies.

She is half a candlemark older than her twin brother, who describes her as bossy and needing to always have the last word.
