Felice was the consort of King Chalinel of Valdemar. Theirs was an arranged political marriage, bringing the unswerving loyalty of her father, who had been an independent baron before joining with Valdemar as part of a period of rapid expansion following the defeat of Karse.

Being one of a pair of twins, Felice also gave birth to multiple children at a time, eventually having twelve in all. She had a large number to ensure there were plenty of candidates available for political marriages. As all twelve children were Chosen, she told Alain that none of them "need[ed] a spouse to be loved."[1]
